Information on Euforia
Euphoria is one of the most emblematic varieties in the Dutch Passion catalog. Born from decades of genetic selection, this feminized photoperiod seed with sativa dominance captivates with its stimulating effect, penetrating aroma, and ease of cultivation for both beginner and experienced growers.
Genetics and origin: historic Skunk selection
Euphoria is not the result of a conventional cross between two varieties, but rather of a rigorous internal selection process developed by Dutch Passion from their Skunk line, initiated in 1996. From that same program emerged other well-known references from the bank such as Skunk #1, Orange Bud or Skunk Passion. With a proportion of 90% sativa, Euphoria inherits from its lineage the slender structure, the vegetative vigor characteristic of sativas, and very stable genetics that make it a common choice to maintain as a mother plant or reproduce by clones.
Cultivation: high yield and adaptability
Indoors, Euphoria completes its flowering in 8 - 9 weeks on average, although some later phenotypes may require an additional week. It develops long, airy, and extraordinarily resinous buds, with a balanced calyx/leaf ratio. Its production ranges between 400 and 650 g/m², and the plant can reach between 1 and 1.5 meters in height. It is fully compatible with management techniques such as SOG, SCROG, topping, FIM, super cropping or LST. It responds well in organic, coco, and hydro, with soil being the most recommended option to enhance the aromatic profile, although it's advisable to moderate nutrient dosage, especially during the first weeks.
Outdoors, Euphoria displays its full sativa potential: in optimal conditions it can exceed 3.5 meters in height and produce up to 500–700 g per plant. In the northern hemisphere, harvest falls around mid-October. It is equally suitable for greenhouse and polyethylene tunnels. Given the weight the buds can reach at the end of flowering, it's recommended to stake the main branches in the final weeks.
Aromas, flavors, and effects
Euphoria's organoleptic profile is dominated by a classic, intense, and very penetrating skunk aroma, with layers of earth, pine, and citrus. Some phenotypes express more woody nuances or secondary notes of cinnamon and caramel. The aroma is so powerful that several sources warn of its ability to permeate sealed containers. On the palate, the flavor is fresh and authentic: skunk without excessive sweetness, with herbal, citrus, and earthy touches that directly evoke varieties from the '90s.
With a THC content between 18 and 21%, Euphoria's effect is mental, energetic, and long-lasting. As its name indicates, euphoria and good mood predominate, accompanied by notable creative stimulation. It doesn't produce sedation or physical heaviness, making it a variety especially suitable for daytime use or moments of creative activity.
