Mandarine Jam is a feminized strain from Sensi Seeds born within the Breeding Grounds project in collaboration with Fat Beans. It's an indica-dominant hybrid with an aromatic profile of mandarin and tropical fruit that makes itself known from flowering onwards. It reaches around 24% THC and offers an effect that combines mental euphoria and body relaxation. It's ideal for growers seeking citrus flavor, purple buds, and abundant harvests in a short cycle.

Genetics: Pink Kush and Lemon Haze in an indica key

This variety is 80% indica and 20% sativa, the result of crossing a Pink Kush (OG Kush phenotype) and a Lemon Haze. The Kush side contributes the fast flowering, robust branches, and density of the buds, while the Lemon Haze adds the citrus freshness of the terpene profile and a more alert mental boost.

Despite the sativa heritage being in the minority, the plant can grow with a structure reminiscent of a Haze. The internodal distance is medium, but the abundance of lateral branches gives it a bushy and lush structure, prepared to support heavy loads. During flowering, the purple hues of the flowers stand out, adorned with bright orange stigmas and a very visible covering of trichomes.

In cultivation: vigorous, tall, and high-yielding

Indoors, Mandarine Jam completes flowering in 45-55 days, a short period for a plant of this size. It can reach 160-200 cm if conditions allow, so it's advisable to shorten the vegetative period before switching to flowering and plan the available space carefully.

With well-adjusted environmental parameters, indoor production is around 550-600 g/m². It responds well to standard techniques to take advantage of its branching: SCROG, SOG, supercropping, and lollipopping work effectively and help redirect energy toward the main colas.

Outdoors it adapts to temperate and continental climates with normal warm summers, so it fits well in much of France. In the open air it can reach or exceed 220 cm in height, with yields that can surpass 600 g per plant.

Its potential is high, but to fully express it, it requires some extra attention and a certain ease with training and size control. That's why it's more suitable for growers with some experience rather than beginners.

Flavor and effect: mandarin, orange candy, and tropical fruit

Already during cultivation, the environment fills with floral and sweet notes. After drying and curing, the aroma turns toward tropical fruit, orange peel, and other intense citrus. It's a powerful profile, so a good activated carbon filter will be an ally during flowering.

On the palate it combines candy and acidic citrus. The first impression is sweet, similar to an orange candy, and soon the citrus takes center stage with a clear reminder of freshly peeled mandarin and ripe tropical fruit.

The effect is long-lasting and powerful. It starts with a euphoria that keeps the mind active and alert while the body gradually enters a state of relaxation, a combination designed for the end of the day.

The abundant resin makes Mandarine Jam a highly appreciated variety for extractions: it has won several awards in this category and gives very good results in dry sift and ice-o-lator. All this with a THC content around 24%.
