Genetics and origin of Maroc

Maroc is based on a Moroccan landrace from Ketama, one of the historic cradles of hashish plants. To shorten the flowering time, Female Seeds crossed it with a Northern Lights Autoflowering (Auto NL). The result is a plant with a marked early and semi-autoflowering character, although it is marketed as a feminized photoperiod strain.

Growing Maroc indoors and outdoors

Female Seeds recommends outdoor or greenhouse cultivation and advises against indoor growing, as its semi-autoflowering character may induce premature flowering. Outdoors it is sown between mid-April and mid-May, with harvest around the end of September and an approximate height of 1 to 1.5 meters. It stands out for its great resistance to mold and fungi thanks to its open bud structure and its Moroccan genetics, as well as excellent root development and good drought tolerance, preferring warm, sunny and dry climates.

Even so, some distributors provide indoor data, with an approximate flowering time of 7 weeks (about 49–63 days) and very generous yields. It is a plant with a tall stature and light structure, considered easy to grow and tolerant, also suitable for beginners.

Aromas, flavors and effects of Maroc

In nose and palate, Maroc is true to its origin, dominated by the aroma of Moroccan hash Ketama type, earthy and floral, with hints of pine, spice and herbal notes. Some growers describe its aroma as discreet and not very pungent, while on the palate the notes of hash, earth and flowers remain.

Its effects are described as old school, with a relaxing body high that combines with a clear mind, sometimes with euphoric, meditative, stimulating and creative nuances, ideal for everyday use.
