Genetics and origin of Permanent Marker

Permanent Marker is born from the cross (Biscotti x Jealousy) x Sherb Bx. The original genetics were created by Seed Junky Genetics / DojaPak, and Sacred Terps markets it with their own selection. This polyhybrid combines highly aromatic and resinous lines, which is reflected in both its terpene profile and its elevated trichome production. Its behavior leans towards the indica side without losing a very characteristic cerebral point.

Indoor and outdoor cultivation

Indoors, Permanent Marker completes its flowering in around 65 days (about 8-9 weeks) and offers an energy efficiency of 0.8 to 2 g/watt. It develops a compact structure, with large and dense colas and notable resin production; it can reach yields of up to around 600 g/m². It responds very well to techniques such as SCROG and LST, and it's advisable to maintain moderate humidity during flowering to avoid mold issues due to the density of the buds.

Outdoors it prefers temperate, sunny climates of Mediterranean or subtropical type, with an estimated harvest around mid to late October in the northern hemisphere, and a yield described as medium.

Overall it's a medium difficulty variety, a robust genetics that, even so, appreciates good nutrient management and careful humidity control during flowering. In the final stages, when temperatures drop, it can display beautiful colorations of blue or purple.

Aromas, flavors and effects

The aromatic profile of Permanent Marker is mentholated and spicy, with a persistent acrylic base reminiscent of gasoline or solvent (hence its name) and a sweet and fruity finish like berries, with notes of cookie and cream. On the palate it unfolds a deep and multilayered flavor: sweet and fruity, with touches of cookie and cream and a very lasting gassy and fuel aftertaste.

Its effect is hybrid and balanced. It starts with an intense, almost electric cerebral high, euphoric and stimulating to creativity, which evolves towards a deep body relaxation with slight sensory distortions. It's potent and long-lasting, only for experienced users with high tolerance. It's ideal for afternoon or evening moments and for creative activities, besides being a highly appreciated genetics for high-end resin extractions (concentrates) such as rosin or BHO thanks to its abundant resin.
