The origin of Strawberry Cough has an almost mythical air. Dutch Passion describes it as a genetic with both North American and European heritage, although the exact parental cross is not officially confirmed and its lineage remains subject to debate. What is clear is its hybrid character with approximately 70% sativa dominance and its notable genetic stability, which produces robust and tolerant plants with resistance comparable to indica-dominant hybrids.

Indoor and Outdoor Cultivation

Indoors, Strawberry Cough completes its flowering in approximately 9-10 weeks and reaches a medium height, somewhat shorter and bushier than other sativas. It's a forgiving plant that responds well to techniques such as SOG and SCROG, as well as supercropping and bending, with medium-high production that the breeder places around 400 g/m². Although it's sativa dominant, it's considered relatively easy to grow, making it accessible even for beginners, though its somewhat longer flowering period requires a bit more patience than an indica.

Outdoors it gains considerable height and is harvested around mid to late October. It thrives in Mediterranean climates, but Dutch Passion warns that it's not the ideal choice for cold and humid climates, as during long periods of bad weather it can show sensitivity to mold. On the palate it repeats that ripe strawberry on the inhale, with a sweet aftertaste and a slight spicy touch on the exhale, all through dense and rich smoke. The buds, cone-shaped, are dense and compact, and appear heavily loaded with trichomes, resin and terpenes.

As for effects, Strawberry Cough offers a markedly cerebral and psychoactive high, clear and long-lasting. It's energetic, euphoric and very social, ideal for daytime use, creative or problem-solving tasks and moments in good company.
