Information on Brasil x K.C.
Brasil x K.C. is a classic variety from KC Brains that combines a Brazilian line with a Dutch genetic from the breeder. It develops a sativa-type structure, an intense aroma with fruity accents, and an estimated THC level of around 16–18%, with a hybrid effect. It's ideal for growers looking for genetics with South American character that's stable and productive, adapting to both indoor and outdoor cultivation.
Genetics: Mango Vermelho from Brazil and K.C. 606
This variety comes from the cross between Mango Vermelho, a genetic from Paranaíba (Brazil), and K.C. 606, one of the Dutch breeder's own lines. Its classification varies depending on the source consulted: some describe it as sativa, others as an indica/sativa hybrid. That's why we prefer not to give it a fixed proportion, although its structure clearly shows the sativa influence from the Brazilian side.
The South American parent provides the slender structure and aromatic character, while K.C. 606 contributes to a more contained flowering period and dense buds. The result is a plant with narrow dark green leaves, a thin but firm stem, and a Christmas tree-shaped silhouette. It presents itself as a stable cross, and its track record includes second place at the IC 420 Growers Cup 2005.
In cultivation: versatile and productive
Brasil x K.C. was designed especially for indoor cultivation, where it usually reaches a height of approximately 90 cm. This contained height, unusual in genetics with sativa influence, makes it easy to manage in grow tents and cultivation rooms. To control its development, it's recommended to top the branch tips: this way you get fewer tops, but more vigorous ones that are better loaded.
Indoor flowering lasts between 9 and 12 weeks, depending on the phenotype and growing conditions. You need to give it some patience, but the reward is large, compact, and sticky buds, with a production of up to around 150 g per plant. During flowering, it's advisable to prepare stakes or some type of support to help the branches bear the weight of the flowers.
Outdoors the plant shows its full potential: it can reach 2.5–3 meters in height and produce up to around 800 g per plant. It's considered early maturing for its profile, with a harvest ranging from September to October. This makes it an interesting option for growers looking for a large sativa without having to wait until the end of autumn.
Flavor and effect: fruity, intense, and full-bodied
During flowering, Brasil x K.C. releases an intense aroma, quite present but without being excessive. This should be taken into account in indoor grows and you should have a good air filtration system in the final weeks.
When smoked, fruity accents appear over a background that isn't particularly sweet. It's a profile with a certain character, where the fruit nuances rather than dominates, far from varieties with pronounced sweetness.
Its effect is hybrid: it combines the lighter part inherited from its sativa line with a notable physical presence, which in some phenotypes can become more corporal and calming. It's a variety to enjoy calmly and without rush, backed by an estimated THC of 16–18%.
