Alchimia is pleased to present Copelandia Hawaiian, also known as Panaeolus Cyanescens or Blue Meanie, a new variety of hallucinogenic mushrooms by Tatandi. This unique strain hails from a different family than the more common Psilocybe Cubensis, with the remarkable ability to produce up to five times more psilocybin.

Psilocybin is not a compound unique to Psilocybe. In fact, there exists a vast array of mushrooms around the globe that generate this alkaloid in varying doses, among which the renowned Copelandia Cyanescens stands out. This variety, although more challenging to cultivate than standard mushroom cakes, offers significantly greater rewards, yielding far more potent fruiting bodies than any other Psilocybe available on the market.

The mushrooms produced by Copelandia Hawaiian are slender and delicate in structure, exhibiting a short size. They feature a slender stem, with caps measuring up to 3cm in diameter.

Copelandia Mushroom Cake (Panaeolus Cyanescens) – Cultivation instructions

It is imperative to maintain impeccable hygiene. Wash and disinfect any area in which you will be working. This includes using gloves and disinfecting them, as well as wiping the exterior of the cultivation container, including the lid, with alcohol.

1. The first step is to evenly distribute the supplementary substrate over the mycelium.
2. Once the substrate is spread, gently mist the surface with bottled mineral water.
3. To prepare both the growing bag and the heated mini-greenhouse, add 2cm of tap water along with a splash of hydrogen peroxide.
4. Subsequently, place the kit inside the bag, reserving the lid for later use.
5. Seal the bag, leaving 2-3cm of the zip open to facilitate gas exchange.
6. The temperature must be consistently maintained between 21º-26ºC; thus, a thermo-hygrometer and a heating blanket are necessary during winter months. Humidity should also be closely monitored, remaining constant between 90%-100%. To achieve this, the inner walls of the bag should be misted 1-3 times daily.
7. To ensure adequate fresh air exchange, open and slightly ventilate the bag each day using the lid of the kit itself to prevent CO2 accumulation, which could hinder the formation of primordia. Once the first mushrooms become visible, commence ventilation twice daily.
8. The first primordia should appear 5 to 10 days after the establishment of fruiting conditions.
9. When the mushrooms begin to release spores or cease growth, it is time to harvest them by gently pulling them from the base of the stem until they break off cleanly.

How to conduct the second harvest

1. After the first harvest, re-moisten the surface by misting, but avoid soaking it. Do not submerge the substrate in water or place it in the fridge.
2. Ensure that humidity remains high by misting 1-3 times a day, taking care not to touch the seedlings or the mushrooms.
3. This kit can continue to fruit until it becomes contaminated; therefore, it is crucial to maintain proper care.
