i live in the UK where temperatures are averaging 12-15 degrees each day, not close to the 22-24 degrees needed for this, would leaving them next to a radiator have a similar effect? or is there some other option you can suggest for me

Hi, thanks for your comment and question. If the temperature indoors doesn't reach the levels required for proper mushroom growth, you can certainly place it near to a radiator to add some heat although the temperature will oscillate somewhat as the central heating goes on and off throughout the day. Another option is to use a heated propagation mat or a heated propagator with a thermostat (which will also help keep humidity at the right level) to allow much more precise temperature control over your crop. I hope that helps.
Best wishes and happy growing!
