What is Guano Diffusion Epsom Salt?

Epsom Salt is an EC fertiliser in the form of magnesium sulphate heptahydrate (MgSO₄-7H₂O), containing 16% magnesium oxide (MgO) and 32% sulphur trioxide (SO₃). It is completely water-soluble and compatible with organic farming according to regulation (EC) 834/2007.

What are Epsom salts used for?

This fertiliser is designed to prevent and correct deficiencies of magnesium and sulphur, essential for processes such as photosynthesis, chlorophyll synthesis and assimilation of primary nutrients (N, P and S). It is especially useful for:

• Crops with long blooms (more than 10 weeks)
• Plants in geotextile pots
• Irrigation with hard water (pH between 7.5 and 8)

How to identify a magnesium deficiency?

Magnesium deficiency manifests itself with yellowish lower leaves where the veins remain green. In advanced cases, there may be brown leaves that curl upwards.

How to use Epsom Salt?

Easy to apply and quick in action, it can be used in three ways:

Irrigation:

• 2 tablespoons (about 20 g) per 2.5 L of water
• Dissolve in a little warm water beforehand

Apply directly to the substrate:

• Repeat every 3 - 4 weeks if necessary

Foliar spraying:

• 1 tablespoon per 2.5 L of water
• Spray on the underside of the leaves

Avoid spraying in direct sunlight or with lamps on
