Melonade Runtz is a cross between Melonade (Lemon Z x Lemon Tree) and Runtz, a 4-way hybrid.
Melonade, the parental, is a cross between the awarded Lemon Z (Lemon Zkittlez), recognised as the best cannabis in the Sativa category at Highlife Cup 2018. Then, Lemon Z was crossed with Lemon Tree to create Melonade.
The result is a plant of genetic diversity, where certainly growers find ideal plants to their taste. This is thanks to the cross between Melonade and the US hybrid Runtz (Zkittlez x Gelato), which contributes with new aromas and a refined taste.
Melonade Runtz strain, round and compact buds
Melonade Runtz has a high terpene and THC profile. It is a vigorous and stable plant. Its ease of cultivation allows beginners to succeed in cultivation. It is a fast high quality strain with a beautiful appearance, typical of California commercial weed. It produces compact round buds full of resin.
Melonade Runtz grows best with no pruning techniques and using the SOG method. It does not required many products to obtain a good harvest, just recommended trellising the plants due to the heavy flowers.
Melonade Runtz presents a flowering period of about 9-10 weeks, offering a high yield of about 400-450g per m2. It is best grown indoors for 3-4 weeks before switching to the flowering stage.
Melonade Runtz, Zkittlez terpenes and high THC content
Melonade Runtz terpene is reminiscent of Zkittlez, fruity and somewhat acidic. It presents also creamy notes of really tropical Italian ice cream. It is no doubt, a commercial variety, yet with very contemporary US aromas.
Melonade Runtz can exceed levels of THC up to 25%, which together with its large terpenes production, delivers an intense high progressing to a narcotic effect. It is much more suitable for experienced smokers, as for novice users it can become too potent.
