Basil de Génova seeds disc, easy basil cultivation

A worldwide famous plant for its unmistakable intense and complex aroma. Basil is an easily cultivated aromatic plant whose aroma immediately evokes summer.

Rocalba, to facilitate its cultivation, presents these discs containing seeds distributed homogeneously. This ensures correctly spaced seedlings, and a well occupied pot.

Basil benefits from warm climates, requiring a temperature above 15ºC to germinate and develop. It has little resistance to low temperatures.

Germination can be initiated indoors or in a heated greenhouse from January until April at the latest. The disc is placed on a pot surface filled with rich and aerated soil. Then, the disc is covered with a little soil.

Basil de Génova produces easily good sized plants. It requires a good water and fertiliser supply. Water should be provided regularly, so as not to slow down the plant development.
