Scarlet Sage is an annual plant. In warm or temperate climates is perennial.
Sowing should be sheltered in a seedbed from March to April. Transplanting is done in late May. It prefers somewhat acid soils, fertilised and with good drainage. Moderate watering, it does not tolerate excess humidity. Direct exposure to the sun.
