What is Hemp Mulch?

Guano Diffusion's Paillis de Chanvre is a natural mulch made from hemp grown in the Champagne region of France, without herbicides, fungicides or insecticides. It is a 100% ecological, biodegradable and environmentally friendly product, perfect for orchards, gardens and outdoor crops.

How is it used?

Its application is simple, just cover the surface of the soil with a layer 4 to 5 cm thick, using about 20 kg of mulch to cover between 4 and 5 m² of cultivation area. After laying, it is recommended to water it lightly to fix it to the soil.

Guano Diffusion advice

For outdoor cultivation, we recommend applying Paillis de Chanvre after fertilising with Guano Diffusion organic fertilisers. In this way, the microbial life of the soil is protected and preserved as much as possible. It takes approximately 3 years to decompose.
