Kokopelli's Striped Zebra mid-season tomato, also known by the scientific name Solanum lycopersicum, is an indeterminate growing tomato variety. This variety was recently developed by the renowned breeder Tom Wagner. It has unique and interesting characteristics.

Planting is usually done in seedling tray and is recommended to do so in a well-lit environment, indoors, at a temperature between 16-20°C. Sowings should be done approximately 5 weeks before planting them in the ground. When the last frosts have passed, it is advisable to transplant the entire root ball, taking care to bury the stem up to the first leaves. It is important to water abundantly at the time of planting.

To ensure good growth, Solanaceae, which include Striped Zebra Mid-season Tomato by Kokopelli, need plenty of light and warmth. In regions with a cool climate, they are best grown indoors. It is also recommended to provide regular watering, depending on the type of soil.

The sowing period of this variety indoors is from February to April, while the harvesting period is from June to October. This tomato plant can be cultivated both in the ground and in a greenhouse but requires full sun exposure to produce fully.

Cultivated in open ground, it adapts to any type of soil, as long as it is well drained, rich and warm. The tomato is round, with a fleshy texture. The fruits are variegated in colour, which makes them visually attractive. Its foliage is regular and its growth is indeterminate, which means that it has the potential for continuous development.

The historical origin of this variety goes back to the US. It is the result of crosses between Green Zebra, Turk's Turban and Sundrop varieties. Striped Zebra Mid-Season Tomato seeds packets contain approximately 35 seeds, which provides a substantial number of plants for cultivation.
