Black Crimean Tomato, sweet and fleshy tomato
The Black Crimean Tomato is highly vigorous and productive, with exceptional drought tolerance. It is an indeterminate variety originating from the Black Sea region in Crimea.
The fruits are round, with dense flesh and a reddish-brown colour that darkens when exposed to sunlight. They offer a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity, resulting in a very sweet flavour. Weighing between 150–500g, these tomatoes are ideal for eating raw or in salads.
The Black Crimean Tomato thrives in soils rich in organic matter with good drainage. A plant spacing of 50cm is recommended. Begin sowing in seedbeds once the risk of frost has passed, watering regularly from February onwards.
