Genetics and Origin of Himalaya Gold

Born from the cross of two pure landraces: Nepalese (Nepal and cannabis) and North Indian (a variety also used in the legendary White Widow). From this combination emerges a hybrid with marked indica dominance that preserves the vigour and growth structure typical of sativas, but with a much shorter flowering time. The result is a plant that brings together the best of both worlds: broad stature and energetic development alongside contained cultivation times. Its THC levels sit in the medium-high range, accompanied by a low CBD content.

Indoor and Outdoor Cultivation

Indoors, Himalaya Gold completes its flowering in around 8 weeks and reaches heights of between 90 and 150 cm. It develops long internodes and branches, so it responds wonderfully to techniques such as LST or Scrog to control its size and make the most of the space. It's advisable not to extend the vegetative phase, as it forms flowers early on.

Outdoors, it presents itself as a tall, strong plant capable of easily exceeding two metres, requiring staking to support the weight of its dense buds. It's ready between late September and early October in the northern hemisphere and stands out for its cold resistance and tolerance to low atmospheric pressure, making it ideal for mountainous areas and temperate or cold climates. Its productivity is high in both environments, and its robustness makes it an accessible option even for growers with little experience.

On the nose, it displays a spicy and herbal profile, with touches of pepper, clove and thyme over an earthy and musky background. As the bud cures, more complex nuances appear, from tropical fruits to surprising notes of fuel. On the palate, earthy tones predominate, accompanied by accents of wood and incense, along with citrus touches.
