Alchimia is pleased to present Mai Tai Auto by Philosopher Seeds, the non-photoperiod version of the limited edition Mai Tai variety. A Mai Tai phenotype (Gorilla Glue #4 x Purple Punch) was selected due to its sweet aroma and high THC content for further breeding with Gorilla Punch Auto. This variety is now available in our auto-flowering cannabis seeds catalogue.
Mai Tai Auto Cannabis strain: Mai Tai x (Gorilla Punch Auto) Auto
The selected Mai Tai phenotype (Gorilla Glue #4 x Purple Punch Alphacut) presents a growth and good structure, yet its outstanding qualities are the strong terpene of wild fruits and a sweet background provided by the long, resin-laden flower colas.
After several hybridisation generations with Gorilla Punch Auto, Mai Tai Auto is achieved. It is much more refined in sweet aromas and not so predominant in Gorilla terpenes. Even so, it maintains the same production as Gorilla Glue and its resin quality.
Mai Tai Auto, production, and quality
Mai Tai Auto presents a cultivation cycle of up to 11 weeks, and some individuals may complete flowering earlier. This plant maintains a good balance between production and flower quality.
It is advisable for its cultivation to provide space for its roots, at least 7-10L pots. This allows the plants to reach a sufficient size, up to 100cm, with a yield that can exceed 400g per m2. As long as it is in optimal conditions with a 18/6h photoperiod, and planted once the seed is germinated in its definitive pot.
Mai Tai Auto strain, sweet, dense, and attractive buds
Mai Tai Auto greatly appreciates a spongy and airy substrate, those of the Allmix type ensure sufficient nutrients for its growth during the first weeks. Once the flowering stage begins, it has a predilection for organic fertilisers of the solid type.
Additionally, with powdered guano mixed with the substrate and added on the pot surface. Also, with some complement or flowering booster and a minimum PK support in the last fattening stage is enough for a lush development. Mai Tai Auto flowers, once mature, are very attractive and dense, covered by a dense coat of trichomes with a truly tempting aroma profile.
Mai Tai Auto, cannabis resistant to botrytis
Mai Tai Auto is undoubtedly an automatic cannabis strain that, due to its cultivation simplicity and results, is worthy of being part of any garden, either indoors or outdoors.
Outdoors it can be germinated even in August (Northern hemisphere) and in February in the Southern hemisphere. We must consider that it is a very resistant strain to botrytis; it works well in humid climates. Even so it does not like cold, below 18C and with direct sunlight below 5-6 hours it develops slowly.
Mai Tai Auto Strain, a motivational and not at all sluggish cannabis strain
Mai Tai Auto offers a quick post-harvest, simply removing its palmate leaves and those attached to the flowers, a simple task. Once the buds are cured, the sweet aroma is enhanced and red fruit terpenes such as blackberries or grapes emerge.
Mai Tai Auto's effects are bearable, but that does not make it a light plant. It produces a high that is motivating and not at all sluggish, but with the passing of time the sensation is pleasant and relaxing, and everything goes much more slowly.
