the seeds were planted mid march indoors, they germinated ok and reached 5-7 cm when as the weather was warm were planted in the poly tunnel early may, they reached 15 cm quite quickly when they commenced to flower, I have been growing for a long time and understand the requirements for successful growing.

Hi Jon, thanks for getting back to me. In this case, it could possibly be that you've ended up with phenotypes that lean to the smaller side of the cross, but I would still expect them to double their size quite easily over the course of flowering.
However, what I find really curious is that you germinated them in mid-March yet they're only starting to flower now in late May/early June. Have I got that right? If so, then I think that there must have been some kind of issue during cultivation to have caused such a long period between germination and flowering. Cold temperatures or some kind of shock can definitely cause this kind of "stagnations" or dormancy in autos, and to be honest, I'm struggling to find any other explanation for the slow development of your plants. If you can shed any further light on the matter it'd be very useful. Best wishes!

Hi Jon, thanks for your comment. Can you please tell me a little more about your growing conditions? How long did it take for the plants to reach 25cm height? Did they receive optimal care up until that point? Because autos have such a short life cycle, any slight problems in the early stages can leave plants at a disadvantage and seriously affect their development and the final size.
That said, the plants ought to keep growing for at least the first 2-3 weeks of flowering and they may end up stretching to double their size or more. With a bit of luck, you won't be disappointed with the final yield, they may yet surprise you!
Best wishes and happy growing!
