White Mustard is an annual plant widely used in cooking. It is mostly used for its leaves and seeds. Leaves are added to salads, soups and vegetable dishes. Seeds are used in pickles and marinades, and to prepare the well-known mustard sauce.
White Mustard cultivation is not difficult; it requires direct sun exposure, well-drained soil and moderate watering. An organic fertiliser rich in phosphorus and potassium and low in nitrogen is recommended. It can be cultivated in the vegetable patch and in the garden, directly in the ground or in pots.
White Mustard, with its 40-55cm structure, lobed green leaves and yellow flower clusters, serves as an ornamental plant in gardens and terraces.
