Gelato BX from Purple Caper Seeds originates from a North American cannabis line famous for its strong psychoactive and aromatic potential.
This cross between the Gelato #45 x Cookies (F2) was then backcrossed (Bx) with the Gelato to faithfully reproduce these high quality clone-only genetics in the form of regular seeds.
Gelato BX has a vigorous and well-branched growth. It responds well to pruning and is well suited to SCROG cultivation by pinching out the growing tip to encourage secondary branches. It can also be successfully cultivated in the normal way, without being pruned or trellised.
In bloom, it will form dense and very resinous buds, testing at around 25% THC, leaving users with a foggy brain and relaxed body without being completely devastating.
Its mouthwatering aroma, from which its name and popularity arises, is reminiscent of fruit sorbet, combining notes of forest fruits and orange on a sweet background. This fruity and citric scent is enriched with notes of lavender and berries.
Its flowering period is rapid, and like the fastest indicas, Gelato Bx will be ready to harvest after just 53 to 63 days of flowering, while being very rich in THC and terpenes.
It is ane ideal strain for growers seeking a relaxing Indica with an uplifting, euphoric effect that may be useful for fighting depression or chronic pain.
